Abstract
A regularity theorem for certain 2nth-order nonlinear differential ope rator B-lambda with the parameter lambda is presented. From it, we obt ain (n + 3) homeorphism classes regarding the operator B-lambda in the nonlinear or linear case. This offers a useful and convenient method for illustrating the two-direction stability properties of some object s in their moving processes. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
