The reactions of acrylic and methacrylic acids in ethylene oxide, prop
ylene oxide, or glycerin epichlorohydrin were carried out in DMF in th
e presence of N,N-dimethylaniline catalyst. The kinetic equations desc
ribing these equations have been devised and activation parameters Del
ta H-#, Delta S-#, and Delta G(#) calculated. The mechanism of the rea
ction has been proposed and verified by using kinetic and instrumental
