R. Doczi et al., EXCITATION-FUNCTIONS OF SOME (N,P) AND (N,ALPHA) REACTIONS FROM THRESHOLD TO 16 MEV, Nuclear science and engineering, 129(2), 1998, pp. 164-174
Precise cross sections were measured for the Zr-90(n,alpha)Sr-87m, Zr-
94(n,alpha)Sr-91, Mo-92(n,alpha)Zr89m+g, Sc-45(n,alpha)K-42, V-51(n,al
pha)Sc-48, Co-59(n,alpha)Mn-56, Nb-93 (n,alpha)Y-90m, Mo-92(n,p)Nb-92m
, Mo-96(n,p)Nb-96, Mo-97(n,p)Nb97m+g, Zr-90(n,p)Y-90m, Zr-91(n,p)Y-91m
, Zr-92(n,p)Y-92, and Ni-60(n,p)Co60m+g reactions in the 7- to 14.7-Me
V neutron energy range. Excitation functions were completed with a num
ber of new differential data. Spectrum-averaged (n,alpha) and (n,p) cr
oss sections were measured for the Fe-54(n,alpha)Cr-51, Zn-68(n,alpha)
Ni-65, Al-27(n,alpha)Na-24, Ni-58(n,p)Co58m+g, Zn-64(n,p)Cu-64, Co-59(
n,p)Fe-59, Zr-94(n,p)Y-94, Fe-56(n,p)Mn-56, Ti-46(n,p)Sc46m+g, Ti-47(n
,p)Sc-47, Ti-48(n,p)Sc-48, and Ni-62(n,alpha)Fe-59 reactions in additi
on to those aforementioned using a thick target Be(d,n) neutron field
at E-d = 9.72 MeV. Results were compared with the ENDF/B-VI, IRDF90, J
ENDL-3, BROND, JEF-2, CENDL-2, and ADL-3 data files and the SINCROS-II
system for testing the validation of differential data and the nuclea
r model calculations.
