N. Maleki et al., TEFLON TUBING MERCURY-ELECTRODE FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL ANALYSIS, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 448(1), 1998, pp. 143-147
A 15 cm length of 0.5 mm ID Teflon tubing has been used as an electrod
e for electrochemical analysis. A micrometer driven syringe has been u
sed to produce mercury drops of different sizes. The stability and rep
roducibility of the electrode in aqueous and non-aqueous media were in
vestigated. The stability of the drop was shown to be superior to conv
entional hanging mercury drop electrodes and reproducibility was shown
to be about 1% which is comparable to other types of electrodes. (C)
