Ten species of Basidiodendron: burtii, caesio-cinerea, cinerea, eyrei,
fulvum, pini, rimosa, rimulenta, spinosa and obscura (Martin) Gomez,
Kisimova & Oberv. comb. nov., are discussed and reported from Costa Ri
ca Only one, B. eyrei, was previously known from the country. Exidiops
is is now represented by two species: laccata and macroacantha, the la
tter is a new geographical extension. The genus Heterochaete was previ
ously represented by one species and three are added. Heterochaete cys
tidiophora (Lowy) Oberw., Kisimova-Horovitz & L.D.Gomez comb. nov.,was
described and known only from Brasil, H. hirneoloides, H. maculata an
d H. shearii are now added to the mycota of Costa Rica.
