A new series of complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn (II) with S
chiff bases derived from the. condensation of cinnamaldehyde with 4-am
ino-5-mercapto-s-triazole and 4-amino-5-mercapto-3-methyl-s-triazole h
ave been synthesized. The complexes are characterized by elemental ana
lyses, H-1 NMR, IR, electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility mea
surements. The spectroscopic studies reveal that Schiff base acts as b
identate ligand with N, S donor set. Thermal studies of the complexes
are also reported.
