Abstract
Trivalent lanthanides can be synergistically extracted from aqueous so lution as mixed ligand complexes with HFAA and TOPO with the general f ormula, Ln(HFAA)(3). 2TOPO. The optimum conditions for extraction like equilibration time, pH, effect of solvent, metal ion concentration, a nd reagent concentration were established. The solvent extraction by m ixed ligand system can be used for the preparation of volatile gas chr omatographable lanthanide complexes.
