The decay of Rh-98 has been studied using gamma and beta spectroscopy
techniques. The Ru-96(alpha,pn) reaction was used to produce Rh-98 and
the activities were transported to a low background counting station
using a He-jet system. The beta end point energy has been determined f
rom the decay of Rh-98(g) to Ru-98. The end-point energy determined in
this study differs considerably from an earlier study using similar t
echnique but agrees well with-that of an earlier (p,n) reaction study.
The present study has also resulted in a modified decay scheme (parti
al) for the decay of Rh-98.
