Abstract
Lead stabilizers will continue to play a major role in PVC application s in future but their market share will be reduced. In important appli cation sectors, progress is being made in the replacement of lead stab ilizers by Ca/Zn stabilizers. An improved price/performance ratio is t he driving force behind the increasing use of these alternative system s.
