Abstract
In this paper, three topologies of microwave active recursive filters are studied We show how, using a noise wave formalism, the noise facto r of filters can be effectively minimized by using appropriate unbalan ced power dividers/combiners and an amplifier. A comparison between th e different topologies is given. We validate our approach with simulat ed examples. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
