Abstract
We reexamine the interaction of ultrahigh energy nuclei with the micro wave background radiation. We find that the giant dipole resonance lea ves a new signature in the differential energy spectrum of iron source s located around 3 Mpc: A depression before a bump which is followed b y the expected cutoff.
