Abstract
A series of model compounds of triazinyl reactive dyes was synthesized . The dihedral angles between the phenyl and triazinyl ring were calcu lated using PC Model software (Serena Software Co., USA). and the pseu do first order rate constants of hydrolysis were determined by HPLC. T he relationship between steric effects and the reactivity of triazinyl reactive dyes are discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
