Abstract
Two model bifunctional reactive dyes containing a vinylsufonyl group a nd a monochlorotriazinyl group were synthesized. The reactions between two kinds of vinylsulfonyl aniline and model dye in DMF have been stu died and the rate constants of the reactions determined by the thin la yer chromatograph (TLC) scanning method. It was found that the rate co nstant of the reaction of m-vinyl sulfonyl aniline with model dye was faster than that of p-vinyl sulfonyl aniline. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scienc e Ltd. All rights reserved.
