Abstract
Error estimates for a fast algorithm applied to a Cauchy singular inte gral equation are proved in weighted uniform norms. This algorithm is essentially based on the application of discrete sine transformations. Numerical results are presented. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Inc. All r ights reserved.
