Abstract
The flux synthesis of the layered compound Rb4Sn2-Ag4P6Se18 is reporte d. Multiply bonded [P2Se6](4-) ligands hold together Sn2+ and Ag+ atom s, stabilizing a novel Sn-Ag s(2)-d(10) bonding interaction at 2.866-( 2) Angstrom.
