D. Jehanno et al., DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF CLEANING OPERATIONS ON FISHING BOATS, Sciences des aliments, 14(1), 1994, pp. 109-116
A microbiological test has been developed to assess the efficiency of
methods and products for cleaning surfaces on fishing boats. Dirt coll
ected on fishing boats is inoculated with spores of Bacillus stearothe
rmophilus var. calidolactis as tracer, and spread and fixed on test su
rfaces. After cleaning, residual dirt is estimated by enumeration of c
olonies grown from the spores on the treated surface. This test was us
ed to compare the efficiency of six cleaning products.
