We present differential mean-light photometry of the rapidly oscillati
ng Ap star HD 119027, acquired on 11 nights in 1991 and 34 nights in 1
997. These data constrain the semi-amplitude of rotational photometric
variability in HD 119027 to under 3 mmag for periods in the range P =
1 d to 5 months, implying that certain frequencies detected in previo
us pulsation studies of HD 119027 cannot be rotational sidelobes. Slig
ht variations in the mean differential magnitudes of the 1991 and 1997
data suggest that the period range P=6 months to several years should
be explored in a long-term monitoring programme.
