M. Soylak, DETERMINATION OF TRACE AMOUNTS OF COPPER IN HIGH-PURITY ALUMINUM SAMPLES AFTER PRECONCENTRATION ON AN ACTIVATED CARBON COLUMN, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 7(7-8), 1998, pp. 383-387
The concentration of copper in high purity aluminum samples was determ
ined by using atomic absorption spectrometry after complexation with h
examethylene dithiocarbamate followed by separation and preconcentrati
on on an activated carbon column. The relative standard deviation(R.S.
D.) is below 10 %. Recoveries of copper from the activated carbon colu
mn are greater than 95 %.
