Abstract
Prolificacy data were studied on Murciano-Granadina goats artificially inseminated at each of the four season from 1991 to 1993. Three bucks were used in 384 matings that produced 247 kiddings. Average prolific acy was 1.64 +/- 0.6 kids, with mating season and buck having signific ant effects on prolificacy, unlike year of mating. Prolificacy was hig hest in winter (1.72) and spring (1.69) and lowest (1.38) in summer. P rolificacy of one buck (1.41) was significantly lower than that of the other two (1.67 and 1.80).
