Using data collected on nearly 4,000 Angle, Hispanic White, and Africa
n-American male youths processed at the Hillsborough County Juvenile A
ssessment Center, we examine their psychosocial, substance use, and ot
her;delinquent behavior differences. In extending the results of previ
ous research in a manner consistent with the concept of relative devia
nce, significant differences in these variables are found across the t
hree groups. Implications of the findings for theory, service delivery
