A new lead electrode has been developed using 1-furoil-3-phenylthioure
a as neutral carrier inmovilized in a PVC membrane directly cast on co
nductive composite substrates. The sensor exhibited good properties wi
th a Nernstian slope of 30 mv/decade and linear response in a range of
10(6)-10(2) M. The response time was 20 s and the electrodes can be u
sed without change in their properties for 5 months. The influence of
