Abstract
The tongue is an uncommon site for the deposition of beta-2-microglobu lin amyloid, A case is presented of nodular amyloidosis of the tongue in a patient having prolonged hemodialysis. The lesions were small, fi rm, yellowish nodules on the lateral aspect of the tongue and were sho wn to be deposits of beta-2-microglobulin amyloid. The pathogenesis an d differential diagnosis are discussed.
