Abstract
The use of (Ta1/2Cu1/2)Sr2GdCu2O8-delta as a cathode caterial for lith ium non-aqueous batteries based on a LiAsF6 in propylene carbonate ele ctrolyte is described. Results are presented for the discharge-charge characteristics on cycling. The cell behaviour is discussed in terms o f the lithium intercalation process. The effect of chemically prelithi ating the materials by a chemical process has been investigated. (C) 1 998 Elsevier Science S.A.
