STUDY OF PYRROLE OLIGOMERS OXIDATION

Since several years, polyheterocycles have attracted considerable and increasing attention due to the high electronical delocalization in th ese molecules. The studies of the oligomers oxidation are very useful for the comprehension of the properties of the corresponding conductin g polymers. On the other hand, oligomers are key intermediates in the electropolymerisation mecanism and study their oxidation is essential for understanding this process. Synthesis of oligopyrroles of differen t lenght and substituted by methyls and tert-butyls have been realised , The electrochemical behaviours have been investigated. A spectroelec trochemical study has been made to identify species generated during o xidation. Moreover, radiolytical and photochemical oxidation of methyl -bipyrrole gives informations about the acido-basic properties of this compound.
