Abstract
We analyze the influence of hexyl chains in terminal positions of a se xithiophene (DHS) on the orientation and structure of the evaporated f ilm onto a thin layer of PTFE oriented by friction. When the substrate is cooled, the alkyl chains disorganize the film whereas at room temp erature, the chains improve the orientation and epitaxial organization of molecular film towards the PTFE.
