In this work, we present Resonance Spectroscopy studies of Poly(p-phen
ylene vinylene) (PPV) to characterize the charged excitations induced
during doping. The vibrational analysis has been performed in order to
describe the electronic distribution modifications introduced along t
he chain of the polymer at the transition from semi conducting to cond
ucting state. A Valence Force Field model is used to determine the for
ce constants relative to the electronic structure of PPV in conducting
state. The Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) studies are also use
d to confirm the polaronic character observed by Resonance Raman Scatt
ering.
