Abstract
Self-supported conducting membranes with a thickness in the range of 1 50 to 600 nm have been obtained with a composite of poly(3-4ethylenedi oxythiophene) (PEDT) and PVC. The PEDT is prepared by oxydation of the EDT monomer with ferric tosylate. The best conductivity of the PEDT/P VC composite is around 20 S/cm. High quality metrology radioactive Co- 60 sources are prepared with these thin conducting membranes. The adva ntages of this radioactive source preparation are presented throuth co mparative results.
