Abstract
We introduce a generalized superposition of two coherent states to inv estigate interference effects between them and their influences upon n onclassical effects. The role played by the involved parameters on eac h nonclassical effect is shown, including a proposal for generating th is state and its application. The present scheme constitutes an unifie d approach, including various important states studied in the literatu re.
