Abstract
The ''Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Jou rnals''. (Vancouver Style), developed by the International Committee o f Medical Journal Editors, was first published 19 years ago. Those req uirements have been widely accepted by editors and authors. More than 500 journals have agreed in considering the manuscripts following the ''Uniform Requirements'' for publication. This Spanish version is the translation of the fifth English version, published en The New England Journal of Medicine in 1997.
