Abstract
Long-distance terabit wavelength division multiplexing: transmission u sing two wavelength bands simultaneously is reported. 20 channels in t he 1550 nm band and 30 channels in the 1580 nm band, all carrying 20 G bit/s, are transmitted over 600 km of singlemode fibre.
