We propose two different unifications of the Metropolis, the Glauber,
and the heat-bath dynamics for the Ising model. Both generalizations s
atisfy detailed balance. Computer simulations for the d = 2 Ising ferr
omagnetic exhibit, in all cases and for relatively small lattice sizes
and simulation times, the expected tendency towards the correct magne
tization, specific heat, and susceptibility. The fundamental implicati
ons of these results are discussed.
