Abstract
Thrombolytic therapy was given to a 77-year-old mall with typical isch emic chest pain and unequivocal electrocardiographic ST-segment elevat ions at the emergency department. The diagnosis of acute myocardial in farction was excluded during hospitalization and the patient was found to have apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with apical aneurysm forma tion and mid-ventricular obstruction.
