Xx. Guan et Zw. Wang, CALCULATION OF THE ZEEMAN-EFFECT IN THE N(2)S(1 2), N(2)P(1/2), AND N(2)P(3/2) (N = 2, 3, 4, AND 5) STATES OF THE LITHIUM ATOM/, Physics letters. A, 244(1-3), 1998, pp. 120-126
The g(J)-factors of the n(2)S(1/2), n(2)P(1/2), and n(2)P(3/2) (n = 2,
3, 4, and 5) states of the lithium atom are calculated by using the f
ull-core plus correlation method. The relativistic correction to order
alpha(2)(a.u.) and the effect of the motion of the center of mass are
treated by using first-order perturbation theory. For the 2(2)S(1/2)
state, our result, 2.00230101, agrees more closely with experimental d
ata, 2.00230100(64), than previous theoretical results. The g(J)-facto
r values of other low-lying excited states for Li are also given. (C)
