GENXREF-VI - AUTOMATIC-GENERATION OF LINKS BETWEEN 2 HETEROGENEOUS DATABASES

Motivation: A large proportion of the information found in public data bases is not sufficiently cross-referenced. We developed genXref, an a utomated system for link inference, because embarking on a manual cros s-referencing of genome data would require too much expensive human ex pertise. It uses information retrieval technology to generate links be tween objects of heterogeneous databases. Results: GenXref was used ro generate links between GDB ger zes and Genbank human sequences. if re sulted in >10 000 links with a precision of 83% ana a recall of simila r to 32%.
