Based on the bipartition model of ion transport, a software, named PAN
DA-U, has been established for calculations of ion transport in solids
. This software is designed running on the platform of WIN32. By PANDA
-U, one can calculate reflection, range, radiation damage etc, for ion
bombardments on multilayer targets. In PANDA-U, the distribution func
tion of ions is stored in a module which could be accessed by user, th
us one can develop more applications to calculate other concerned tran
sport quantities. As an example of PANDA-U, we have calculated reflect
ion energy spectrum at emission angle of 45 degrees for 150 eV H bomba
rdment on C. By comparing the results with Monte Carlo data and experi
mental data, the validity of our calculation has been tested. (C) 1998
