Abstract
Ion detection with good signal-to-noise ratio is required in TOF mass spectrometry for measurements over a wide range of masses. To reach hi gh mass resolving powers it is also necessary to have detectors with g ood timing characteristics. We show some of our concepts to reach a de tection system with such properties.
