DIFFRACTION-LIMITED SPECKLE MASKING INTERFEROMETRY OF BINARY STARS WITH THE SAO 6-M TELESCOPE

Optical speckle masking observations of 32 binary and multiple stars w ith the SAO 6-m telescope are presented. The resolution of the reconst ructed diffraction-limited images is 23 mas at 656 nm. Accurate magnit ude differences were first determined for most binaries. The results f or individual systems are compared with the available orbits and with published photometric data. A new close visual component was discovere d in the multiple system ADS 784.
