Mv. Popa et al., BEHAVIOR OF CERTAIN STAINLESS-STEELS AND ALLOYS IN CORROSIVE SOLUTIONS USED IN PB, CU AND ZN EXTRACTING PROCESS FROM POLYMETALLIC CONCENTRATES, Revista de chimie, 49(5), 1998, pp. 373-378
The corrosion behaviour of some high allied stainless steels, nickel a
lloys, titanium and alloy with high Mo content, in industrial acid sol
utions with sulphuric acid and ZnSO4, CuSO4, FeSO4, at different tempe
ratures from 50 degrees C to 120 degrees C, is presented. The corrosio
n rate, the attack kind of the surface and the structural corrosion we
re established. Both the stainless steels and Ti-32Mo alloy undergo th
e structural corrosionlike cracks and microcracks; the titanium and ni
ckel alleys have a very good corrosion resistance in the examined solu
tions.
