Abstract
A self-complementary molecular building module possessing simultaneous ly two divergent cavities and connecting moieties was shown to form ei ther discrete inclusion molecular complexes in the presence of CH2Cl2 acting as stopper, or an infinite molecular array resulting from a sin gle translation of an assembling core defined as the inclusion of the connector moiety of one module by the cavity of the consecutive unit.
