Abstract
This review presents a critical assessment of the available experiment al information (contained in similar to 90 literature references) on t he thermochemistry of the O-H bond in phenol and substituted phenols. The analysis led to a set of recommended values for the O-H bond disso ciation enthalpies,;which in turn allowed us to discuss several empiri cal and theoretical methodologies used to estimate these data.
