Abstract
In this paper we present a 1-D model for the behavior of U-Nb shape me mory alloys that accounts for the effect of plastic deformations on re covery strains. In particular, we account for the erasure of memory ef fect that occurs with increasing plastic strains. An algorithmic appro ximation to the model is discussed in detail and a comparison to some experimental results is shown.
