Abstract
The structural and stratigraphic study of the Palaeozoic series of the Yves-Gomezee quarry (in the ''Allochtone ardennais'') proves that hal okinetic processes occurred locally in the Franco-Belgian Variscan bel t. These processes involved Upper Visean (V3a) evaporites, whose later dissolution caused the brecciation of the host limestones. The import ance of such processes in the Dinantian tectonics is discussed.
