T. Tlaskal et al., PRIMARY REPAIR OF TRANSPOSITION OF THE GREAT-ARTERIES WITH INTERRUPTED AORTIC-ARCH, European journal of cardio-thoracic surgery, 13(3), 1998, pp. 310-312
Primary repair of transposition of the great arteries with interrupted
aortic arch was performed in a 2 day old neonate weighing 2.1 k.g. Th
e repair consisted of a direct anastomosis between the ascending and t
he descending aorta and an arterial switch repair without Lecompte pro
cedure because of the side by side position of the great arteries and
an anomaly of the coronary arteries. A total of 28 months after the re
pair, the patient remains in excellent clinical condition. (C) 1998 El
