Abstract
Crystal structures have been solved foe the transbilayer pore domain o f a bacterial K+ channel and the tetramerisation domain of a voltage-g ated K+ channel. These provide our first real structural insights into possible mechanisms of ion selectivity and permeation for K+ channels . (C) Current Biology Ltd.
