Abstract
A novel triterpene, 9,19-cyclolanost-20(21)-en-24-ol-3-one, named neri ifolione, and cycloartenol were isolated from the latex of Euphorbia n eriifolia. Their structures were elucidated with the help of chemical and physical data (H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, IR and-mass spectra). (C) 1998 E lsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
