Abstract
It is shown by means of a numerical analysis of the dispersion equatio n that two types of aperiodic instability may occur at a charged plana r interface between two viscous incompressible immiscible electrically conducting liquids, for which the growth rates increase or decrease, respectively as the conductivity ratio of the media increases.
