Abstract
An experimental investigation is made of the regeneration of spin osci llation losses in a thin-him ferromagnetic cavity by parametric pumpin g. It is observed that effective regeneration only takes place in narr ow frequency intervals in zones of strong dispersion near dipole gaps in the spin wave spectrum of thin films with bounded mobility of the s urface spins. It is shown that microwave parametric pumping can substa ntially improve the Q factor of dipole-exchange spin oscillations of t he thin-film cavity. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
