Abstract
The effect of optical activity, the piezoelectric effect, and energy r edistribution between light beams on the visibility of an interference pattern is investigated in the case of a two-wave interaction in an o ptically active cubic piezoelectric crystal, It is shown that the modu lation of the visibility of the holographic grating substantially chan ges the output characteristics of a hologram.
