Abstract
A pure plasmalemma-enriched fraction was obtained, after aqueous two-p hase partition, from Peach-tree leaves cell. Characterization of the v anadate-sensitive ATPase has shown that plasma membrane ATPase found i n woody plants has similar characteristics as plasmalemma ATPases obse rved in other plant species (vanadate sensitivity, K(m)), but plasmale mma ATPase specific activity was found to be lower than in other speci es. In Peach-tree cells, plasma membrane ATPase was identified as a pe ptide of 110-115 kDa.
