Abstract
A method is described for investigating the dynamic adiabatic compress ion curves of powders by measuring of the pulsed pressure in a powder pressed uniaxially by an elastic instrument. The instantaneous powder density is determined by numerical solution of a pulsed spectral probl em using the pressing pressure pulse and the known characteristics of the pressing instrument and the external force.
